Tallahassee State Head Baseball Coach Bryan Henry Inducted into Florida State University Athletic Hall of Fame
TALLAHASSEE, FL – April 14, 2025 — Tallahassee State College Athletics is proud to announce that Head Baseball Coach Bryan Henry has been selected for induction into the prestigious Florida State University Athletic Hall of Fame. This honor highlights Henry's tremendous contributions to the game and his outstanding legacy as a Seminole student-athlete.
Before taking the reins at Tallahassee State College, Henry made a lasting impact on the diamond as a standout pitcher at Florida State University from 2005 to 2007. During his time in Garnet and Gold, he was named to the All-ACC First Team three times and earned the title of ACC Pitcher of the Year in 2007. That same season, he was also recognized as a First Team All-American—capping off a decorated collegiate career.
Henry finished his time at FSU with a remarkable 32-9 record and a 2.60 ERA, establishing himself as one of the top pitchers in program history. His consistency, command, and competitive spirit earned him the respect of teammates and opponents alike. In 2007, he was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 12th round of the MLB Draft.
Reflecting on his playing days, Henry called his time at Florida State some of the most meaningful of his baseball career.
"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity that Mike Martin (11), Jamey Shouppe, and Mike Martin Jr. gave me to fulfill my dream of playing baseball at Florida State," said Henry. "This is such a huge honor—something I never imagined. I'll be forever grateful for my time as a Seminole and will always bleed Garnet and Gold. Go Noles!"
Now in his third season as head coach at Tallahassee State, Henry has already made a significant impact. In that time, he has helped move more than 15 players on to NCAA Division I programs—passing along the same dream he once chased. His dedication to developing student-athletes has made him a respected figure throughout the Tallahassee community.
His annual Father-Son Camp continues to grow each year, drawing attendees into the triple digits and highlighting his deep love for the game—and the people who play it.
Henry's induction into the FSU Athletic Hall of Fame not only honors his accomplishments as a player but also celebrates the ongoing influence he has on the sport through coaching and mentorship. The induction ceremony will take place this September, where Henry will be recognized alongside some of the most accomplished athletes in Florida State history.
