TSC Baseball Comes from Behind to Beat Santa Fe, 8-7

Tallahassee, FL - February 3 2025 — The Tallahassee State College Eagles delivered an exciting come-from-behind victory on Saturday, defeating the Santa Fe Saints 8-7 in a thrilling game at home.

The Eagles, trailing for most of the game, found their spark in the later innings with two key home runs that lifted them to victory. Keuri Martinez and Boone Hosey were the stars of the day, each hitting a crucial home run.

Martinez, who had a standout performance, launched a two-run homer that helped keep the Eagles in striking distance. However, it was Hosey's three-run blast in the sixth inning that proved to be the game-changer. His timely shot put the Eagles ahead 8-7, and they would not relinquish the lead.

Boone Hosey finished the game with a total of three RBIs, while Martinez added two of his own. The Eagles also saw contributions from Cade Culbreth, who drove in two runs, and Reid Harvey, who added an RBI as well.

The pitching staff played a pivotal role in securing the win, with Christian Madeira earning the win in relief. Madeira threw 2.1 scoreless innings, and Baden Wallace closed the game with a solid 1.2 innings to earn the save.
