PENSACOLA, Fla. (December 14, 2013) – FCSAA No. 9 Tallahassee Community College picked up a 75-52 win over No. 8 College of Central Florida (8-7) on Saturday afternoon at the Pensacola State College Classic.
Tallahassee evened its record at 7-7 with the win heading into Tuesday's 2 p.m. home date against No. 6 St. Petersburg College, which will mark the unofficial end of the first half of the schedule.
Three players scored in double-figures on Saturday for the Eagles led by Tyeshia Guinnie with a career-high 27 points. Aariel Allen added 17 and Jasmine Queen, 15.
After ten minutes of nip-and-tuck action, Tallahassee began to pull away from the Patriots in the final stages of the first half and led 47-26 at the intermission. The Eagles were never threatened in the second half and extended their lead to 30 in the game's final minutes.
