Bio

Chelsea Waters was named the 8th head coach in program history on May 9th, 2025. 

In her first season at TSC, she served as the lead assistant coach for the Eagles, and helped the Women's team secure their best record since the 2019-20 season. 

Waters comes from the Smooth Handles Academy where she served as the Director of Basketball Operations and Assistant Coach in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany. For smooth handles, Waters created financial plans for the academy and coordinated tournament itineraries for the boys and girls travel basketball teams. She was also the coordinator of youth basketball camps throughout the U.S. and Europe for Smooth Handles.

Prior to Smooth Handles, Waters played professionally in Europe for 8 years. The counties she played in include Portugal, Spain, Germany, Finland, and the Czech Republic. In 2016, Waters was an All-Star in the Portuguese league. Then in 2018 she helped lead her team to the Portuguese cup where they won the bronze medal. Waters was named to the All-Finish League 2^nd team while playing in Finland in 2020.

Before her professional career, Waters played basketball for Gonzaga University. During her time at Gonzaga, she helped lead the Bulldogs to very successful seasons.  She was a part of three teams that went on to the NCAA Tournament including a Sweet-Sixteen appearance in 2015. Waters was a two-time West Coast Conference Tournament Champion with Gonzaga, and a three-time Regular Season Champion.

Waters graduated from Gonzaga in 2016 and is a Native of Lewiston, Idaho.
