Academics
Assisted through Tallahassee State College’s Career and Academic Planning, the Student-Athlete Academic Advisor provides quality, comprehensive academic services to the Eagles’ student-athletes. In addition to academic advising, services also promotes growth beyond the College by providing guidance as students work towards future educational and career goals.
TSC’s advising system helps students develop educational and career plans, gives students academic progression and degree requirements, provides resources to help students become academically successful and enhances student retention and success by connecting students to the College through personal interaction.
In addition to superb interpersonal assistance, student-athletes have access to one of the nation’s most dynamic learning facilities — The William D. Law, Jr. Learning Commons, a comprehensive, integrated learning center that provides learning assistance and resources in the areas of mathematics, science and communications. The Learning Commons offers students a broad range of services including diagnostic assessment, learning materials and electronic resources, individual conferences, one-on-one and small-group tutoring, whole class support, workshops and seminars, success strategies, technology and multi-media support and assistance in developing and accessing individual learning plans.
