TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 18, 2015) – The Tallahassee Community College Eagles baseball team pulled off a late game rally to beat Florida State College at Jacksonville 9-7 on Wednesday evening at Eagle Field.

Tallahassee (9-4) has now won four straight, eight of nine overall and is a perfect 7-0 at home.

Tallahassee got behind the Blue Wave early and it took the Eagles until the fifth inning to get any offense going.

The Blue Wave scored runs in the first, third and fifth innings to take a 6-0 lead into the bottom of the fifth. But that's when the Eagles came roaring back, scoring seven runs to take a 7-6 lead.

The Eagles had 13 plate appearances in the inning and forced three pitching changes.  Kyle Taddeo, Chris Clark, Geremy Walton, D.J. McKnight, Tyler Kinard, Zach Featherstone and Colby Sweat all scored in the inning.

Tallahassee added a couple more insurance runs in the eighth inning when Featherstone singled to the shortstop scoring Walton.  A fielding error allowed Tyler Atwell to score the inning's final run.

The Blue Wave tried to get back in the game in the ninth but managed to only score once.

Featherstone was 1-for-2 on the night and had an RBI.  He also walked three times.

Craig Olson entered the game in the top of the fifth inning and earned his second win of the season.  Olson struck out two batters while only giving up one hit over two innings.

Rion Murrah recorded the final two outs in the ninth to record the save.

The Eagles will hit the road for games at State College of Florida on Saturday and Sunday before returning for an 11-game home stand that will begin on Wednesday, February 25 against Santa Fe College.
