Eagles Take Down No. 1 Chipola Behind Moore’s Big Night

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — MAARCH 9, 2026 - Tallahassee State baseball delivered a statement win on Monday, knocking off No. 1 Chipola 7–6 in conference action behind a clutch three run homerun from Mason Moore.

Moore led the way for TSC, driving in four of the Eagles' seven runs, including the go-ahead three-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning that lifted the Eagles in front for good. Moore finished the night 3-for-4 at the plate with a double and a home run, pacing an offense that saw production from the entire lineup.

The Eagles' bats were active all game long, as all nine hitters in the TSC lineup recorded at least one hit in the victory.

Catcher Bubba Crouch also delivered a key swing for the Eagles, going 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, his first long ball of the season, helping keep TSC within striking distance early in the game.

On the mound, Emery Dawkins shut the door in the final inning to secure the win. Dawkins recorded his third save of the season, striking out three batters in a dominant closing performance.

With the win, the Eagles secure their first conference victory on the season. This over the nation's top-ranked team and continue building momentum as the season progresses.
