Bio

Samuel Mason is entering his second season with the Tallahassee Community College baseball team as a graduate assistant. This season, he has assisted in monitoring the team's academic progress. 

Mason, who earned his A.A. degree from TCC in 2013, is currently a senior at Florida State University and on track to graduate in May 2015 with a degree in sports management and a minor in history.

While this is Mason's first venture into coaching at the College, it is his fifth year overall with the athletic department. Since 2011, he has assisted in various capacities, including lead statistican for men's and women's basketball and public address announcer for all sports. He also obtained experience in event management. 

A lifelong baseball enthusiast and die-hard fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Mason aspires to become a baseball coach at either the high school or collegiate level. 

Mason is a member of First Baptist Church Tallahassee and is an active leader in the Praise and Worship Band involved with singing and playing the Bass on Sunday mornings.

In his spare time he enjoys fishing, playing different sports (basketball, football, baseball), spending time at the ball field, and spending time with friends. 

Samuel is the son of Clay and Tina Mason. His sister, Cara, and brother, Jonathan, attend Carson-Newman University, where the latter is a member of the football team.

Samuel and his wife, Siera, were married in May 2015.
