NICEVILLE, Fla. (October 30, 2015) – Mark White couldn't have asked for a better debut as head coach of Tallahassee Community College's men's basketball team.
Playing the No. 13 team in the country, Southwest Tennessee Community College, the Eagles delivered a record-breaking performance on the defensive end, running away from the Saluqis, 64-26, at the Quality Inn Classic, hosted by Northwest Florida State College.
The 26 points set a school record for fewest points allowed in a game, smashing the previous record of 38 vs. North Florida Community College on November 28, 2006.
The Eagles led 34-20 at the half then proceeded to allow only six points in the second half to blow the game open.
The Eagles will return to action at 6:30 p.m. eastern on Saturday against No. 10 Georgia Highlands College.
