Tallahassee State College Men's Basketball Team Triumphs in Florida Shootout
Tallahassee, FL - December 8th 2024 – The Tallahassee State College (TSC) Eagles men's basketball team secured a thrilling victory over Polk State College, winning 73-70, to go 2-0 in the Florida Shootout and 10-3 on the season. The Eagles showcased their resilience by overcoming an 11-point halftime deficit to clinch the win.
The game was a nail-biter from start to finish, with the Eagles demonstrating exceptional teamwork and determination. Turner Harris contributed 7 points and 5 rebounds, while Tahj Johnson added 4 points and a team-high 7 assists. Justin Britt and Julius Clark chipped in with 2 and 8 points, respectively.
Cole Crissman led the Eagles with an impressive 20 points and 9 rebounds, playing a pivotal role in the comeback. Off the bench, Julius King Jr. provided a significant boost, scoring 19 points, including 3 three-pointers. Alex Jasquith also made valuable contributions with 7 points and 4 rebounds.
The Eagles' defense was instrumental in the victory, with key steals from Turner Harris and Alex Jasquith. Despite facing a tough opponent, the team maintained their composure and executed their game plan effectively.
