MARIANNA, Fla. October 31st, 2025 – The Tallahassee State College men's basketball team tipped off its 2025–26 season in dominant fashion, defeating Southwest Mississippi Community College 111–91 in their opening game at the Milton H. Johnson Classic.
The Eagles exploded in the first half for 63 points, setting the tone early with relentless tempo and balanced scoring across the lineup.
Shane Cherry led the way with 29 points, adding 2 assists and 3 steals in an outstanding performance. Orion Wilson contributed 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals, while Rodmik Allen added 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist.
Cole Crissman nearly notched a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists, providing steady leadership on both ends of the court.
The Eagles will close out play at the Milton H. Johnson Classic tomorrow, November 1, at 2 p.m. ET in Marianna, Florida.
