Tallahassee State Men’s Basketball Wins Home Opener in Thrilling 78–76 Battle Over Central Georgia Tech
Tallahassee FL. - November 8, 2025 - The Tallahassee State College men's basketball team opened its home slate in dramatic fashion today, rallying from an early deficit to defeat Central Georgia Technical College, 78–76, inside the Bill Hebrock Eagledome.
The Eagles improved to 4–0 on the season after showing grit and resilience in a hard-fought matchup that went down to the wire.
Tallahassee fell behind early in the first half but clawed back behind a balanced offensive effort and tough defense to take the lead midway through the second period. Central Georgia Tech made a late push, but the Eagles held strong to secure the win.
Rodmik Allen led Tallahassee with 18 points, attacking the rim relentlessly and converting 10-of-14 from the free-throw line. Shane Cherry added 13 points and five steals, setting the tone defensively and sparking several transition opportunities. Trey Card provided a valuable boost off the bench with 10 points on efficient shooting, while Amare Robinson made his presence felt all over the floor — causing havoc defensively, crashing the boards, and drilling a clutch bucket late in the shot clock to swing momentum back to the Eagles in the closing minutes.
Additional contributions came from Orion Wilson (8 points, 4-of-4 FT) and Cinque Lemon (4 points, 5 rebounds), as the Eagles shot 54% from the field and 71% from the line.
The Eagles will return to action Wednesday Nevember 8th against Santa Fe, as they look to continue their strong start to the 2025–26 campaign.
