Tallahassee State Men’s Basketball Stays Perfect, Defeats St. Petersburg 79–60
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. November 15, 2025 — TSC's Men's Basketball team moved to 6–0 on the season Saturday afternoon, rolling past St. Petersburg College in a commanding 79–60 victory. The Eagles never trailed, controlling the game wire-to-wire and showcasing a balanced, high-energy performance on both ends of the floor. St. Petersburg drops to 2–2 with the loss.
Freshman guard Rodmik Allen delivered a breakout performance, stuffing the stat sheet with career highs in 29 points and 14 rebounds—leading the Eagles in both categories despite being the smallest player on the court. Allen's fearless play comes just one game after he hit the game-winning shot with 10 seconds remaining against Santa Fe. His impact was undeniable as he sparked the offense all night.
Freshman guard Shane Cherry continued his strong start to the season as well, finishing with 22 points and 4 steals, providing scoring punch and defensive pressure throughout. Cole Hansen added valuable production off the bench with 10 points and 5 rebounds, giving the Eagles an additional lift in the frontcourt.
Tallahassee State shot 41.2% from the field and scored 42 points in the paint, while turning 18 St. Petersburg turnovers into key transition opportunities. The Eagles held a 41–29 halftime lead and pushed their advantage to as many as 21 points in the second half.
