No. 20 Tallahassee Men’s Basketball Tops South Georgia Tech 79–66, Improves to 10–1

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - December 1 2025 — Newly ranked at No. 20 in the nation, Tallahassee State College men's basketball continued its red-hot start to the season with a 79–66 road victory over the South Georgia Technical College Jets on Tuesday night. The win pushes the Eagles to 10–1, capping off a remarkable stretch that included Thanksgiving Week upsets over the No. 24 and No. 3 teams in the country.

Tallahassee showcased balanced scoring and elite playmaking throughout the night, highlighted by standout performances from several key contributors.

Cinque Lemon delivered one of his strongest outings of the season, posting 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting while controlling the glass with 11 rebounds. His presence inside anchored the Eagles on both ends.

Off the bench, Cedric Taylor provided a major spark, tallying 17 points on an efficient 6-for-9 from the field, including 2-for-3 from deep, giving Tallahassee valuable scoring when the offense needed it.

In the backcourt, Elijah Guillory continued his consistent scoring punch with 17 points, knocking down two threes and shooting 60% from the floor. Shane Cherry nearly posted a triple-double, finishing with 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists, while adding 4 steals in a high-energy two-way performance.

The engine of the offense, however, was point guard Rodmik Allen, who orchestrated the team with precision. Allen recorded a game-high 9 assists, setting the tone for an offense that shot 51.8% from the field and knocked down 10 threes on the night.

Tallahassee out-rebounded the Jets 36–33 and controlled the pace from start to finish, building on the momentum that vaulted the Eagles into the national rankings this week.
