No. 20 Eagles Complete 2–0 Weekend at Florida College Shootout with 97–85 Win Over Indian River

TALLAHASSEE, FL - DECEMBER 7 2025 - The 20th ranked Eagles closed out the Florida College Men's Basketball Shootout on Sunday afternoon, defeating Indian River State College 97–85 to finish the event a perfect 2–0. The victory follows Friday's dominant win over Hillsborough Community College and moves the Eagles to 12–1 on the season, positioning them for a likely climb in the upcoming Week 5 national rankings.

Freshman guard Shane Cherry delivered a breakout performance, erupting for a career high 32 points while shooting 6 of 10 from three and 9 of 18 from the field overall. Cherry also added 8 made free throws and 5 steals in one of the most complete games of his TSC career.

The Eagles showcased impressive offensive balance with five players scoring in double figures.
Cinque Lemon anchored the interior with 15 points and 8 rebounds, shooting 7 of 11 from the floor.
Rodmik Allen added 12 points, 7 assists, and 5 rebounds, running the offense with control and pace.
Cedric Taylor contributed 10 points and 7 rebounds in just 16 minutes, giving TSC strong production in the paint.
Cole Crissman came off the bench for an impactful 11 points and 7 rebounds, helping the Eagles maintain momentum in key stretches.
• Freshman guard Amare Robinson added 9 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals, providing a spark on both ends.

Tallahassee shot 46.5% from the field and scored 97 points, its second straight game of commanding offensive output. Defensively, the Eagles forced 14 steals and held off multiple Indian River runs to secure the win.

With the sweep of the Shootout and a 12–1 overall record, Tallahassee State continues to establish itself as one of the top teams in the nation heading into the heart of the season. 

Their next game is December 10th at home against Pasco-Hernando State College.
