CLEARWATER, Fla. (January 27, 2018) – Tallahassee Community College's softball team traveled to Clearwater to open the 2018 season at the annual JUCO Kickoff Classic & Showcase but came up empty in each of its five games.
Tallahassee dropped three games during Friday's opening day of action.
After losses to St. Petersburg College and Miami Dade College in the first two games of the day, NJCAA No. 20 Indian River State College handed the Eagles an 11-0 defeat.
On Saturday, Tallahassee was no-hit in an 8-0 loss to No. 16 College of Central Florida in its first game of the day.
The Eagles closed the weekend with a 12-4 loss to Eastern Florida State College.
Tallahassee will be off until its home opener on Sunday, February 4 – a 1 p.m. doubleheader against No. 14 Chattanooga (Tenn.) State Community College.
