Emma Fowler named Region 8 Pitcher of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (March 17, 2021) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA), on Tuesday, announced its Player of the Week Awards and Tallahassee Community College's Emma Fowler was named NJCAA Region 8 Softball Pitcher of the Week. 

Fowler, a sophomore from Kentwood, La., earned the award following a stellar week in the circle for the Eagles. In two appearances, she posted a 2-0 record and 0.58 ERA. 

On consecutive days, she earned complete-game victories against Santa Fe College and Abraham Baldwin (Ga.) Agricultural College, the latter coming in the form of a three-hit shutout. 

Fowler totaled 12 innings in the circle and allowed nine hits and one run. She did not walk any batters and struck out five.
