TALLAHASSEE, FL (March 22nd, 2022) – The Eagles welcomed the Chipola Indians for their first Panhandle Conference home games of the 2022 season. Tallahassee went 1-3 over the weekend at the Panama City Round Robin.
Kailynn James (Fr., RHP) got the start in the circle for game one of the doubleheader, and also drove in two runs at the plate off a double and a sacrifice fly. Alison Rodriguez (Fr., INF) recorded her first triple of the season. Chipola managed to score 9 runs on 11 hits and take game one 9-3.
Sydney Ray (Fr., LHP) got the nod for game two, and pitched all seven innings, allowing four earned runs and striking out seven. The Eagles were unable to get the bats going and fell to Chipola 8-0.
Tallahassee will travel to Niceville this Saturday for a doubleheader against the Northwest Florida State Raiders. They return home on Wednesday, March 30th to take on the Gulf Coast State Commodores, who they defeated 4-2 last weekend in Panama City.
