Brittany Michael named Region 8 Pitcher of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 28, 2023) — Brittany Michael had a huge weekend at the Courtney Miller Invitational both at the plate and in the circle, but her pitching performances, including a no-hitter against Seminole State, and a 1.1 relief appearance against St. John's River that led to another win was good enough to be named the NJCAA Region 8 Division I Softball Pitcher of the Week. 

Michael's pitching performances from last week: 

vs. Seminole State (2/25): 6 IP (CG), 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 SO

vs. St. John's River (2/26): 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 0 SO

This is the second time Michael has won the award, winning both Region 8 and NJCAA Division I honors in April 2022. This year, she leads the team in innings pitched (27.1) and wins (4). 

The Eagles are back in action this Thursday, March 2nd in Tifton, Georgia taking on ABAC in a doubleheader starting at 2:00 PM. They return home to play Santa Fe in a doubleheader this Saturday, March 4th.
