TSC Eagles Win Final Home Game in Thrilling Fashion on Sophomore Day

Tallahassee, FL – April 26, 2025 -  The Tallahassee State College Eagles softball team capped off their final home game of the 2025 season with a dramatic 10-9 victory over Pensacola State College on Sophomore Day, celebrating nine sophomores who are moving on after this season.

Before first pitch, the Eagles honored their outstanding group of sophomores: Haley Webb, Asia Peart, Karmen Christie, Keirra D'Errico, Laci Prescott, Rosalie Dufresne, Marianne Labelle, Tori Richardson, and Sophie Ryon each of whom has made a lasting impact on the program.

The game itself was a back-and-forth battle, with the Eagles collecting 12 hits and showing resilience throughout. Key offensive performances came from Tori Richardson, who went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs, and Marianne Labelle, who also notched two hits, scored twice, and drove in a run. Rosalie Dufresne added a triple and drove in a run while reaching base three times.

On the mound, Laci Prescott started the game, while Aubrey Alonso provided five solid innings in relief, allowing no earned runs and striking out one.

The game reached its dramatic conclusion in the top of the 6th inning when Pensacola State threatened to tie or take the lead. With a runner tagging from third, Aly Morabito made a game-saving play, snagging a line drive in center field and firing home to complete a double play at the plate, sealing the win for the Eagles in thrilling fashion.

TSC heads to Marianna Florida next week to take on Chipola for their final game of the season.
