Softball Splits Doubleheader with FSCJ

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — JANUARY 10, 2026 -  The Tallahassee State College softball team earned a split in Saturday's doubleheader against Florida State College at Jacksonville, delivering a thrilling walk-off win in game one before dropping game two.

Game 1 | TSC 5, FSCJ 4

The Eagles closed the opener in dramatic fashion, as Mallory Collier launched a walk-off two-run home run to secure a 5–4 victory in the bottom of the seventh.

TSC totaled six hits in the contest, with Kaylan Boudreau and Collier providing all four RBIs. Boudreau finished 1-for-2 with a two-run homer, while Lauren Rifenberg added a double and scored a run.

In the circle, Collins Ames delivered a complete-game effort, improving to 3-1 on the season. Ames went seven innings, allowing four runs (two earned) on eight hits while striking out three.

Game 2 | FSCJ 11, TSC 4

FSCJ responded in game two, pulling away for an 11–4 win.

Kaylan Boudreau continued her strong day at the plate, going 1-for-3 with a three-run home run, accounting for the majority of TSC's offense. Additional hits came from Aubrey Alonso, Lauren Rifenberg, and Caitlin "Mouse" Henderson, who also swiped a base.

TSC used three pitchers in the nightcap. Camila Holguin worked 3.2 innings, allowing two hits and six runs (one earned) with three strikeouts. Addie Wolf and Charlotte Jenks followed in relief.

 

The Eagles are back in action Thursday Febuary 12th as they travel to Gainesville to take on Santa Fe!
