PANAMA CITY, Fla. (February 6, 2021) – Tallahassee Community College's women's basketball team opened the 2021 Panhandle Conference schedule on Saturday and dropped an 89-71 decision at Gulf Coast State College.
Tallahassee (1-2, 0-1 PC) trailed 22-15 after one quarter and 45-30 at the half before making a run at the host Commodores.
The Eagles pulled with six (59-53) but a 17-4 run by Gulf Coast State to close the third and open the fourth put the game away. The Commodores outscored Tallahassee in the final quarter, 28-18.
Twin sisters Ana Nikulochkina and Polina Nikulochkina scored 20 points each to lead the Eagles. Kyra Smith added 11.
Tallahassee will return to play on Tuesday when it hosts Chipola College at 5:30 p.m.
