TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (February 20, 2021) – Tallahassee Community College's women's team dropped its fifth straight game on Saturday against Gulf Coast State College, 90-59.
The Eagles are now 1-6 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
Tallahassee scored the first basket to take a 2-0 lead. However, it would be the only time they held a lead during the game. Gulf Coast State finished the first quarter with a 20-12 lead.
The Eagles cut the lead to seven, 24-17, following a Mel Feratovic three-pointer at the 7:47 mark in the second. The seven-point deficit would turn out to be the closest the women would be the rest of the evening.
Ana Nikulochkina cut the lead to eight with two free throws to make the score 32-24 with 3:47 left in the half.
The Commodores proceeded to go on a 6-0 run to end the half with a 38-24 lead.

Tallahassee turned in a much better fourth quarter led by Briana Chambers, who had seven points in the period. The Eagles outscored Gulf Coast State, 25-18, in the fourth quarter.
