Seasons ends for Women’s Basketball on Sophomore Night

TALLAHASSEE, FL (February 19th, 2022) - In Saturday's season finale, Tallahassee hosted Gulf Coast State for the second time this season and fell to the Commodores 74-65. 

It was Sophomore Night in the Eagle Dome, and five of the players honored concluded their third season with Tallahassee: 

Ana Nikulochkina: 47 career games

Polina Nikulochkina: 60 career games

Sedayjha Payne: 50 career games

Olivia Eller: 44 career games

Briana Chambers: 66 career games

The Eagles battled throughout with plenty of sophomores contributing offensively. Sedayjha Payne scored 13 points in the loss, going 6-12 from the field. Divine Guthrie added 12 points to the Eagles total, and Ana Nikulochkina scored 11. 

With less than four seconds left in the game, Ana Nikulochkina received an inbound and took her last shot for the. Eagles from half court, scoring the three-point attempt at the buzzer. 

The Eagles finished the season with a 3-25 record, with two of their wins coming at home inside the Eagle Dome.
