TSC Eagles Secure First Conference Win of the Season Against 20th Ranked Pensacola State College in Dominant Showing

Tallahassee, FL - January 15, 2025 – The Tallahassee State College (TSC) Eagles women's basketball team celebrated a significant victory last night, winning their first conference game of the season against Pensacola State College with a final score of 62-48.

The Eagles showcased a strong team performance, with standout contributions from several players. Santianna Davy led the team with 15 points, 7 assists, and 4 rebounds, demonstrating her all-around skills on the court. Kalisha Phillips dominated the boards, securing a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds, while also adding 3 assists and 4 steals to her impressive stat line.

Cienna Thigpen added 8 points and 3 assists, and Zhaniah Ervin contributed 9 points and 8 rebounds, providing solid support both offensively and defensively. Tierra Coleman came off the bench to score 11 points and grab 4 rebounds, adding depth to the Eagles' lineup.

It was an all around effort for the Eagles as they win their first conference game of the season against 20th ranked Pensacola. 

The Eagles' defense was particularly effective, forcing 18 steals and blocking 5 shots, which played a crucial role in their victory. The team also showed resilience and composure, converting 75% of their free throws (15-20) and shooting 36.8% from the field.

The TSC Eagles will look to carry this momentum into their next game as they travel to Panama City to take on Gulf Coast State College this Saturday.
