TSC Eagles Finish Strong at FCSAA Cross Country Championship
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - October 24, 2025 — The Tallahassee State College Eagles women's cross country team wrapped up their regular season this weekend with a determined effort at the FCSAA Cross Country Championship, held at Apalachee Regional Park. Facing tough competition from across the state, the Eagles finished 10th overall out of 12 teams, with 93 runners competing in the field.
Leading the way once again for TSC was Sarah Costello, who remained a consistent force for the Eagles throughout the season. Costello placed 46th overall, clocking a time of 23:11.4 on the challenging 5K course.
Freshman Sada Bostick capped off an impressive debut season, finishing 51st with a time of 23:28.6, showcasing strong development and resilience. Orianna Madden turned in a solid performance as well, placing 62nd (24:46.8), followed by Abbie Mickelson in 65th (25:28.8). Sophomore Kaylee Sanders, competing in her final race at Apalachee Regional Park, rounded out the Eagles' scoring five with a 72nd-place finish in 26:31.5.
Today's race marked the final time the team's sophomores will compete at Apalachee Regional Park, adding an emotional note to the championship.
Head Coach Kara Guinan praised her team's perseverance and growth throughout the season:
"This group has shown incredible resilience and heart all year," Coach Kara said. "They've faced challenges, pushed through them, and earned every opportunity to compete at this level."
She added,
"Our goal has always been to trust our training and keep growing stronger with every race — and I'm proud of how this team has done exactly that."
The Eagles will now shift their focus to the NJCAA Women's Cross Country National Championship, scheduled for November 8 in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where they will compete against top teams from across the country to close out their 2025 season.
