Tallahassee State College Women’s Basketball Dominates East Georgia State 77-53 in Home Opener
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Nov. 6, 2025 — The TSC Eagle women's basketball team earned an impressive 77-53 victory over East Georgia State College on Thursday night, marking their first home win of the season.
After a competitive first half, the Eagles caught fire in the second, outscoring the Bobcats 41-24 to pull away and secure the win.
Sophomore guard Lili Schmitt led the way with 19 points on an efficient 7-for-11 shooting performance. Leanna Pabst added 15 points and 4 assists, while Ashantay Noble contributed 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in a well-rounded effort. Kyana Poitier nearly recorded her second double-double of the season, finishing with 8 points and 10 rebounds.
Head Coach Chelsea Waters praised her team's energy and execution after the game:
"It was a great first win at home," said Waters. "I was really proud of how we played together tonight. The team's energy was incredible, and it was great to finally compete against someone other than ourselves. The girls have been working hard in practice, and it showed on the court."
The Eagles return to action on Sunday as they welcome Eastern Florida State College to the Eagle Dome at 2pm ET.
