Eagles Battle Past Santa Fe for Veterans Day Win, 62–59
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Nov. 11, 2025 — The Tallahassee State College Eagles women's basketball team earned a gritty 62–59 victory over Santa Fe College on Veterans Day, battling through nine lead changes to secure their second home win of the season.
The matchup was tightly contested from start to finish. Santa Fe led by as many as nine points early in the second half, while the Eagles' largest advantage was eight. With just 33 seconds remaining, TSC capitalized on a key turnover, converting a clutch basket to take the lead for good and seal the win in front of a spirited home crowd.
Freshman Alahni Lovett made her long-awaited debut after missing the first four games due to injury, making an immediate impact with 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting. Her scoring and poise provided a crucial boost to the Eagles' offense.
Ashantay Noble added 11 points and six rebounds, while Leanna Pabst contributed nine points and three assists. Kyana Poitier anchored the inside with eight points and a team-high eight rebounds.
As a team, TSC shot 32.3% from the field and forced nine steals, using defensive intensity to overcome cold stretches and close out the win.
The Eagles improve to 3-2 on the season and will return to action Saturday, November 15, when they host Daytona State College. The matchup is part of a home doubleheader with the men's team. TSC Men play St, Petersburg College at 1pm with the Women following that game!
