TSC Eagles Outslug Gulf Coast in Extra-Inning Classic, 15–14

Tallahassee, FL - April 8 2025 – In a wild back-and-forth battle that stretched into 10 innings, the Tallahassee State College Eagles pulled out a thrilling 15–14 conference win over Gulf Coast on Tuesday. The win gets the Eagles back on track this season, going 2-0 in their last two games. They hope to extend their streak to three on Thursday as they take on the Gulf Coast Commodores again.

Andrew Duncan put on an unforgettable performance, delivering a jaw-dropping 6-for-6 day at the plate, including a double, home run, and 4 RBI. The center fielder also added a walk and a stolen base, finishing with a game-high 10 total bases. Duncan reached base in all seven plate appearances and was the engine behind the Eagles' offense in one of the most dominant single-game performances of the season.

Not to be outdone, Boone Hosey went 4-for-7 with a home run, 3 runs scored, and 1 RBI, racking up 7 total bases of his own. Hosey's power and consistency at the plate helped spark multiple big innings for TSC.

Bryce Hooker came through in the clutch, going 2-for-5 with a home run, a walk, and 4 RBI, giving the Eagles some much-needed run support in key moments. Braydon Tindell added to the long ball total, going 2-for-2 with a home run, 1 RBI, and 1 run scored, making the most of his plate appearances in a big way.

Other notable performances included:

The Eagles racked up 21 hits, including 4 home runs and 4 doubles, and left 14 runners on base in a relentless offensive effort.

On the mound, TSC used eight pitchers to navigate a high-pressure game. Justin Morales (1.2 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 2 K) shut the door in extra innings to secure the win. Emery Dawkins also contributed two strong innings, allowing just two earned runs while striking out four.

With this win, TSC proves its resilience and could be just what they needed to boost their back half of the season as they fight for postseason baseball.
