Tallahassee State Women’s Basketball Falls Late to Daytona State, 86–79

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. November 15, 2025 — After leading for the majority of the night, the Lady Eagles came up short on Saturday, falling 86–79 to Daytona State College. TSC opened the game on fire, building a 16-point first-quarter lead, but a late fourth-quarter surge by Daytona swung the momentum in the final minutes.

Despite the loss, the Eagles showcased grit and high-level performances from their top playmakers. Kyana Poitier continued her dominance as a nightly double-double threat, finishing with 25 points and 13 rebounds while shooting an efficient 10–13 from the field. Poitier was relentless around the rim on both ends, anchoring the Eagles' interior presence.

Tallahassee State shot 38.2% from the field and 78.6% at the free-throw line, backed by an impressive 27-point first quarter. But Daytona's depth proved decisive as they outscored the Eagles 49–14 in bench production and closed on a decisive run in the fourth quarter.
